Coach Dominic Hughes

Coach Hughes has been playing soccer in Huntsville for most of his life. A Huntsville native, he played soccer at Huntsville High, class of 2009. In his senior year, he helped lead the team to a section championship and a place in the playoffs.

After high school, he attended the University of Alabama and graduated with a double major in Mathematics and German. He also continued to be a part of the HHS community by tutoring several students in high school and college math courses.

Now, Coach Hughes works in data analytics for TPG, Inc. in downtown Huntsville. He still plays soccer in the adult league and stays in shape by running road and trail races around town. In addition to starting his new role as Freshman Boys Head Coach, Dominic is also engaged to be married in January 2026. He and his fiancée Elin live in Huntsville with their two dogs.

Coach Hughes is excited to return to the HHS program as a coach and looks forward to a fun and successful season.
