Girls JV Head Coach

Coach Redpath

Coach Gabrielle Redpath

Coach Gabrielle Redpath grew up in Maryland, but has embraced Alabama as her home. Despite her love of all things Dixie, she goes home to visit often, as she values family above all else.

After moving to Huntsville in 2021, she accepted a job teaching and coaching at Hampton Cove Middle School (HCMS): a feeder school for Huntsville High. At HCMS, she built the school’s first sanctioned girls soccer team, then led them to win the first ever Huntsville City Schools Middle School Championship. The team had three incredibly successful seasons, and she is proud of the accomplishments of each player both on and off the field.

Coach Redpath eagerly applied for a position at Huntsville High during the summer of 2025 when she realized there would be an opening in the Panthers’ soccer program. She knew many of the players from coaching at the middle school level, and she was confident that she could continue to help them grow at the next level.

Coach Redpath thought that teaching was the best job on Earth, but then she was proven wrong. She learned that coaching is way better. For that reason, she was ecstatic to join the Huntsville High team as a soccer and cross country coach in 2025. Although at the surface level, the two sports seem different, the players learn similar lessons. Coaching cross country has undoubtedly improved Coach Redpath’s soccer philosophy.

When Coach Redpath isn’t on the field coaching, she can often be found on the field refereeing. She has been refereeing club soccer here in Huntsville since 2022. She loves to study the rules of the game and has appreciated how serving as a referee has developed her understanding of the game further.

Coach Redpath’s passion for the game is not limited to the field; she also enjoys being on the sidelines at Huntsville City Football Club (HCFC). After attending most games during the inaugural season for the club, Coach Redpath couldn’t stay away and has begun working at HCFC as well. She loves running into her current and former players at the games.

Coach Redpath believes that high school athletics have the potential to teach life lessons that can be applied both on and off the field. She is excited to help facilitate the growth of each Huntsville High soccer player.
